Frequently Asked Questions & Answers
What’s the difference between @fangdraws_ and @ellariceart / Why are there two?
@fangdraws_ is a profile that I originally made to anonymously post my personal art; primarily digital fanart. This profile has a much more casual tone, not limited to only posting my artwork, but also including plenty of informal interaction with other people/artists in an online space. If that sounds of interest to you, feel free to follow me @fangdraws_ on Twitter and Instagram! I also have accounts on YouTube and TikTok, but they are largely inactive.
@ellariceart is a profile that I originally made to sell/advertise handmade earrings back in 2020, and has since evolved into a page where I post the mostly physical artwork I create as part of my studies. This profile has a more reserved and professional tone, with virtually nothing being posted that doesn’t directly relate to my work/practice. If this sounds more of interest to you, feel free to follow me @ellariceart on Instagram!
The two profiles continue to exist somewhat separately, but both of them are run by me to showcase my art – the tone and subject matter of them is just a bit different. If you’d like to see all of my work, feel free to explore this website or follow me on all my socials!
What do you mean when you say, “digital art”?
In my practice, it’s exactly what it sounds like: digital drawing. The program and equipment that I use, Paint Tool SAI and the Wacom Cintiq 16, means that I am taking a physical stylus and using it to draw with a touchscreen tablet. If you’d like to see an example of this process, I have several old “speedpaint” videos on the fangdraws_ YouTube channel!
*Absolutely 0% of my work is AI-generated or AI-assisted, and I expressly forbid my artwork being fed to or used to train AI image generators and/or bots, in any shape or form*
Is your work for sale?
My work is not currently for sale, but this may change in the future! The ‘shop’ page of my website is a work in progress, and I plan to have prints and stickers of my work for sale on it (slotted to be finished in Fall 2025). I also do not currently take commissions or sell the originals of my work.
Where can I buy/see your work in person?
I’m planning to have an artist booth selling prints, stickers, acrylic charms, etc. of my fanart at local anime/comic conventions! If all goes well, this should begin in Fall 2025 and continue annually. As mentioned above, I also hope to sell online, so you can still have the opportunity to buy my work if you’re outside of the Pacific Northwest.
Otherwise, as I am a Studio Art major at Willamette University (Salem, OR), my work is frequently on display in the Art Building on campus. Follow my Instagram @ellariceart for the most recent info on this!
*Please note that I and my work will be absent from campus during the Fall 2024 semester, as I am studying abroad*
